The name Dyodo recalls the first electronic semiconductor ever built: the diode. Drawing inspiration from the diode, the Dyodo is an e-road bike built to provide energy flow from the motor to the rider. In designing the Dyodo, Pinarello sought to match the look and feel of a conventional road bike, ensuring it met the primary demands of lightness, rigidity, and speed. To set a new standard for e-road bikes, Pinarello used a revolutionary system that is both simple and efficient. The Ebikemotion X35 drive system utilizes a rear hub motor that provides enough power to increase the speed, range, and fun factor of your rides, without adding a bunch of weight to the bike. Today they return with a superb CX bike derived directly from this heritage—it’s called Crossista. In designing the Crossista, Pinarello worked hard to instill the perfect combination of maximum performance and versatility. They aimed to maintain the aerodynamic elements that characterize all their bikes, keeping in mind the mix of surfaces and the increasingly fast race fields of modern cyclocross. The Crossista’s carefully chosen geometry makes the frame very precise when entering a corner as well as reactive at the exit, guaranteeing maximum performance on technical courses. The frame has been developed to have the largest possible room around the tires to prevent mud from building up. Additionally, small but important details have been added to improve its performance even in slower sections of the course. For example, the top tube has an asymmetrical section that adapts to the ergonomics of the shoulder to facilitate carrying the bike, while the thinner section of the rear Flex Stays ensures maximum traction in the roughest terrain.
